INTERMEDIATES Excellent for all levels of racing and high performance school use. The greater mass improves durability and makes the oars less sensitive.
S3 – Designed for all levels of racing. Same shaft stiffness as S2 soft. Heavier in hand and offers more stability during recovery for the not yet elite.
STANDARDS These oars offer a softer shaft with increased durability. Reduces the chance of overuse injuries, especially in juniors. A great learner’s oar.
S5 – Designed for school and club use. Increased weight makes them more stable during recovery.
TRAINERS
S6 - Designed for training at school and club level. The softer shaft makes this shaft more suitable for learners by reducing the chance of overuse injuries. The increased weight makes these oars very stable for beginners. A very durable shaft.
Sculling Blades
SLICK BLADE The slick sculling blade is our latest CAD CAM design and supersedes all other blade shapes. The slick blade has a clean and quiet catch. It is now available with closed edges for improved strength, durability and performance. This blade can be reduced in size for women, schoolgirls and masters.
Features:
§ No ridge line
§ Relatively flat shape
§ Very clean in and out of the water
§ Moderate power
MACON BLADE - Macon blades are the conventional symmetrical blades that were originally produced in timber. The macon is not used on the racing scene however some scullers still prefer this blade for recreational rowing, transatlantic races, training, and learners. Available with closed edges.
DROOP SNOOT – This blade is similar along and across the blade as the slick. The ridgeline is not in line with the shaft. It is almost horizontal and hence why the blade is stable through the stroke.
STRAIGHT CLEAVER – The straight cleaver blades are identical in curvature to the droop snoot, but without the benefits of a horizontal ridgeline. This blade is available on request.
